Student storage questions
How much does student storage cost in Manchester?
Student lockers start at £4.80 per week, a 16 sq ft unit is £6.35 per week and a 25 sq ft unit is £8.50 per week. There is no deposit to pay, and if you share a 25 sq ft unit with housemates the cost per person is lower again. Prices for larger units are on our storage prices page.
Do you collect from my student accommodation?
Yes. Our collection team comes to your room or flat door rather than waiting in the car park, carries everything down and loads the van for you. We know student halls have long corridors and staircases, so the heavy lifting is included.
Can you deliver my belongings back at the start of term?
A return delivery is not included as standard, but it can be arranged. Tell us your new term dates and address and we will quote for delivering everything back to your new or existing accommodation. You are also welcome to collect from our Manchester facility yourself at no cost. September is our busiest month, so give us as much notice as you can.
What size storage unit do I need as a student?
Most single students fit comfortably in a 16 sq ft unit, which takes a full room of belongings. A locker suits you if you are only storing boxes, bedding and books. If two or three of you are sharing, a 25 sq ft unit works out cheapest per person. If you pick the wrong size we will move you at no charge.
Can I store over the summer only?
Yes. There is no minimum stay, so you can store for the summer between tenancies and take everything back when your new contract starts. Many students do exactly this rather than pay rent on an empty house over the summer.
Do you offer storage for international students?
Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons students store with us. Leave everything with us over the holiday period, fly home without shipping costs, and we will have it ready for you when you return.
